The Community Hall is a log-framed structure that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The “Hall” is one of the focal social gathering spots in the City.  The main portion of the building is log and was constructed by the United Servicemen Overseas (USO) in 1936 for the servicemen stationed at Farragut Naval Station. An addition of 840 square feet was added in 1945 by the Boy Scouts of America and is still used by that organization.
